NEW YORK — Warnaco gave nothing back on Tuesday.
One day after the stunning last-minute settlement of its suit with Calvin Klein Inc. sent its stock soaring $1.50, or 60 percent, to close at $4, The Warnaco Group’s shares closed unchanged in New York Stock Exchange trading.
While its price didn’t budge, its shares did move. Volume was slightly less than four times the average at 1.66 million shares Tuesday, as compared to 2.28 million the day before.
Shares stayed within 25 cents of their closing price with a range for the day of $3.81 to $4.25.
Monday’s settlement prevented what would have been a time-consuming, contentious suit from proceeding and propelled Warnaco’s stock to more than three times its 52-week low of $1.25, reached on Dec. 20. Its high, in the past year, is $12.56.
