NEW YORK — Maggy London and Nina Leonard are expanding their day and evening dress affiliation to include suits with the introduction of Maggy London Suit by Nina Leonard for fall retailing.
The better-priced line, with suits wholesaling between $79 and $129, will open for selling March 5 at the Nina Leonard showroom at 530 Seventh Avenue in New York, said Leonard Feinberg, chief executive officer and creative director for Nina Leonard and creative director for Maggy London Suit by Nina Leonard.
Feinberg and Larry Lefkowitz, president of Maggy London, have hired Robert Levitt as director of marketing for the new line. Levitt was a senior account executive at Kasper Suits and most recently was a vice president of Katherine Bishop.
First-year projections for Maggy London Suit by Nina Leonard was $20 million, but “after initial previews to retailers, it is clear we will exceed the initial plan,” Feinberg said. Added Lefkowitz, “We’re a great believer in letting the product tell us what we can do. We know what we can command with an audience.”
