DOLLAR GENERAL NAMES HAGAN
NEW YORK — James Hagan has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Dollar General Corp., effective March 22.
Hagan has been cfo of Central Parking Corp. and previously held senior financial posts with Revco Drugs, Bruno’s supermarkets and Saturn Retail Enterprises.
He will succeed Brian Burr, who has left the company to pursue other interests. Cal Turner Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Dollar General, noted in a statement, “Brian Burr, a management generalist, had undertaken the finance role, and I admire his dedication and hard work.”
Dollar General operates about 5,000 discount-convenience stores.
