A HIRST FIRST: Sure, he wore a pink Versace blazer at Donatella Versace’s post-show party. And, yes, his hair was neatly cut. But cow-slicing British artist Damien Hirst insists that fashion is the domain of his wife, Maia Norman. In fact, Norman, who has designed jewelry in the past, plans to launch a clothing line, Mother of Pearl, with a runway show in London this summer. But she only wants to do custom orders, not wholesale. An avid surfer, she says “Hawaiian cowboys” will inspire her debut collection. And she claims that her ambitions are modest: “I really can’t see myself as the head of an empire, because I wouldn’t get any time for surfing.”
