PARIS — Marc-Antoine Jamet has been named secretary general of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
Jamet’s background is in government, and for LVMH, he will be dealing mostly with corporate affairs and government relations, according to a spokesman for the group.
For the past year, he has been a special adviser to the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry. He is also mayor of a town in the Eure district.
Jamet, 41, started his career at the Cour des Comptes, a government finance agency, where he rose to senior counselor, and then became director of the Cabinet of the President of the National Assembly.
