SHAKEUP FOR ART TALK ART RANKS
NEW YORK — The art department at Talk magazine is again in flux.
Rina Migliaccio has been tapped as design director, a new post, which she starts on March 1. Most recently, she had been design director of the relaunched US Weekly, and previously she was art director for Sports Illustrated for Women, and held design posts at Entertainment Weekly and GQ.
Tom Ackerman, who has been with Talk since its launch as art director, has quit to pursue a video and film career, and Alberto Orta, deputy art director, has also resigned. Ackerman and Orta declined comment.
In December, Oliviero Toscani left his post as creative director of Talk after completely redesigning the magazine and serving as in-house photographer. He became a creative consultant to Talk and continues to shoot for the magazine. At the time, Talk said there were no plans to name a new creative director.
