CARDIN LAUNCHES THIRD MAGAZINE
Byline: Robert Murphy
PARIS — For Pierre Cardin, the 78-year-old designer’s newest magazine is all about surprise. Entitled Imprevu (Unexpected), the magazine is the third in the Cardin stable.
The February issue features French actor Pierre Arditi on the cover, with articles on French pop singer Jeanne Mas, author Olivier Bleys, and husband-and-wife fashion team Michele and Olivier Chatenet, among others. The magazine is 100 pages, with five ad pages, all of which are for Cardin businesses.
“Mr. Cardin wanted to create a magazine that would give an unexpected glimpse at lives of interesting people,” explained Patrice Ribes, Imprevu editor in chief.
“Fashion will be a regular part of the magazine,” explained Ribes. “But we will only do pieces on individual designers, we will not forecast trends or do fashion photo spreads.”
