WASHINGTON — Apparel industry officials are seeking financial, apparel and footwear donations for survivors of the Jan. 13 earthquake and landslide in El Salvador that killed hundreds and left thousands homeless.
The Apparel Foundation, the charitable arm of the American Apparel and Footwear Association, is organizing tax-deductible apparel and footwear donations.
The AAFA is also soliciting cash donations from the industry for landslide victims as part of a broader relief effort.
