SEARCH IS ON FOR REVLON’S NEW FACE
NEW YORK — Revlon has narrowed its hunt for Cindy Crawford’s replacement down to a half dozen names, mostly actresses, according to reports circulating in the market this week.
Among those the company is said to be talking with are Monica Bellucci, star of the new movie Malena; Liv Tyler; Sandra Bullock; Kate Moss; Kate Hudson, and Amanda Peet. Revlon also is reportedly looking at Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, who already is working for Victoria’s Secret and Lanvin.
The company had no comment on the report. But it is known that president Jeffrey Nugent is trying to make a choice early enough so the new Revlon spokesmodel can appear in the advertising for the launch of its new lipstick, Absolutely Fabulous. That is scheduled for the May editions of fashion magazines.
