West Coast women always manage to maintain their unique sense of style, even when faced with unusual weather conditions. During a recent cold front, Angelenas slumming at Bar Marmont, dropping in at MOCA’s opening-night fete for the Schindler retrospective or strolling along Third Street Promenade, eschewed standard-issue black coats in favor of individuality. Color was key in Left Coast outerwear, with a palette ranging from deep sorbets and blues to taupes and camels. They also demonstrated their distinctive flair with rare buttons, zipper detailing and fur collars — both real and fake.
