LOFTUS HEADS TO ADIPAR
NEW YORK — Escada Beaute said Thursday that Donald Loftus, former president and chief executive officer of YSL Beaute Inc., has been appointed president of its AdiPar USA and Escada Beaute Ltd. USA subsidiaries, effective immediately.
Loftus had served in different roles at Sanofi Beaute, at various times as executive vice president, chief operating officer, chief executive officer and president. He has also been vice president of sales for Yves Saint Laurent and president of Versace Profumi at Gianni Versace. He started his career in retailing in 1974 at The May Department Stores Co. in Cleveland, where he rose to vice president and divisional merchandise manager of cosmetics and jewelry before leaving in 1985.
Loftus couldn’t be reached at press time. Neither could other AdiPar executives, including Nicholas Ratut. It is understood that Ratut will continue in his present post as executive vice president and chief operating officer of AdiPar and Escada Beaute Ltd. USA in charge of international, which includes Canada, South and Central America, the Caribbean, travel retail, Australia and New Zealand.
