TOUCHING UP: Never let it be said that actor Stephen Baldwin isn’t in touch with his feminine side. “Is it my color?” cracked Baldwin, as he smoothed on Shu Uemura Dare, a bright red, at the Sephora booth on Monday. No, the handsome blond isn’t a cross-dresser — he was participating in Sephora’s Operation Smile charity event, which auctions off star kisses to benefit children who need facial surgery.
MAKING A MARC: In addition to his cosmetics, Defile’s Marc Beckman is also into cosmetics accessories. Created in Italy of colors and fabrics taken directly from the runways, the accessories are sold separately from the cosmetics and are manufactured in limited quantities each season. The three designers for which Beckman’s firm did makeup this season — Alice Roi, Shin Choi and Mark Montano — have each designed an exclusive limited-quantity Defile accessory that represents their vision for Fall 2001. The accessories will be a part of Defile’s Fall 2001 accessories collection.
