BEAUTICONTROL NAMES GLOBAL MARKETING EXEC

NEW YORK — In a push to develop its business in Latin America, BeautiControl has named a new vice president of global marketing.
Fernando Morthera, who had been managing director of Tupperware Spain for six years, succeeds Jo-Anne Jaeger, now senior vice president, merchandising and international development. Morthera reports to Richard Heath, BeautiControl president and chief executive. In his new role, Morthera will lead the beauty company’s international marketing and merchandising, product development and creative services functions. Tupperware acquired BeautiControl last year.
In other BeautiControl news, the company launched on Jan. 1 a reformulated version of its popular Regeneration Gold Lip Therapy.
The .12-ounce tube, at $20 retail, now contains a patented potion that reportedly boosts collagen production and makes lips nearly 25 percent plumper within two months, according to Gary Jones, vice president of product development at BeautiControl.
“It’s a healthy and inexpensive alternative to lip injections or surgery,” added Jinger Heath, chairman.
