JOE BOXER TAPS SHORT
LOS ANGELES — Joe Boxer Corp. has named W. John Short as chief executive, president and chief operating officer.
Short, who was most recently president and chief operating officer of Delstar, a retailer specializing in airport and resort gift shops, will report directly to Nicholas Graham, founder and chairman of the $100 million San Francisco-based innerwear company that specializes in underwear for men, women and kids.
A Joe Boxer spokeswoman also said that Tom Fanoe, who has held the positions of president and chief operating officer since December 1998, has retired.
“By bringing John on board, I will be free to dedicate 100 percent of my energies to product, marketing and sales,” Graham said in a statement.
He also pointed to Short’s experience in branded apparel, licensing, finance and banking. Short held several positions at Esprit de Corp. over a period of eight years, including president and chief operating officer of Esprit Far East Ltd.
