AMSALE TRIPLES ITS SIZE ON MADISON
NEW YORK — Amsale, the bridal and eveningwear retailer and wholesaler, is maximizing its prime spot on Madison Avenue.
Located at 625 Madison Avenue in The Revlon Building, Amsale is tripling its space to about 5,000 square feet, giving it exposure on 59th Street, as well. For the expansion, expected to be unveiled in September, Amsale is taking over space previously occupied by the Marvin Kagan Gallery.
Amsale said its sales last year reached $15 million and should grow 25 percent this year. Aside from bolstering retail sales, the flagship, being redesigned by architect Steven Blatz and interior designer Charles Frew, is expected to support Amsale’s wholesale operation by heightening awareness of the brand. The store will also have a showroom. Amsale’s bridal and evening collections, designed by Amsale Aberra, are sold at stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. Retail prices typically range from $4,000 to $15,000.
