MALVERDI APPOINTED SCHON CEO
MILAN — Fabrizio Malverdi has been named chief executive officer of Mila Schon, owned by the Mariella Burani Fashion Group.
Malverdi formerly worked for Staff International and has been consulting with the Burani group for a year-and-a-half.
He takes over the duties formerly handled by Fabrizio Jorio Fili, who has stepped down as managing director. That title has been eliminated. Jorio Fili couldn’t be reached Thursday for comment, however a company statement said he left to pursue other interests.
Jorio Fili joined Mila Schon in late 1999, following Burani’s purchase of the Italian fashion house. Jorio Fili’s brother, Roberto, is the president of Valentino and managing director of GFT Net.
