COLE HAAN TIME: Cole Haan is entering the watch business. The fast-growing accessories brand has teamed with Fossil to create a line of men’s and women’s watches bearing the Cole Haan name. The watches will bow next summer and initially will be sold only in Cole Haan retail stores. Prices will range from about $200 to $400.

DIRECT MARKETING DRILL: Former President George Bush will deliver the keynote speech at the Direct Marketing Association’s 84th annual conference, to be held Oct. 28-31 in Chicago’s McCormick Place, where he is expected to speak about the impact of last month’s terrorist attacks. And direct-marketer Vivre Inc., which sells luxury goods via catalogs and a Web site, at vivre.com, said Friday it has secured $6.55 million in Series D funds from venture-capital firms Charles River Ventures, North Bridge Venture Partners, Rolaco and RRE Ventures.
