ESCADA BEAUTE TAPS RAPINAT-FREUDIGER

PARIS — Juliette Rapinat-Freudiger has been named managing director of Escada Beaute. She has also been appointed a member of its board of directors.
Rapinat-Freudiger took up the newly created position April 19. In the role, she will oversee commercial, communication and marketing divisions of Escada Beaute for both international markets and France. She will report directly to Richard Simonin, chief executive officer of Escada Beaute.
Before joining Escada, 41-year-old Rapinat-Freudiger held the position of international fragrances marketing director for Parfums Givenchy from 1997 to 2000.
From 1994 to 1997 she acted as deputy marketing director of Firmenich’s European fine fragrances division. She held positions in L’Oreal’s fragrance and beauty division from 1983 to 1994, acting as French marketing director of its collections division encompassing Cacharel and Guy Laroche brands from 1993 to 1994. She was French marketing director of L’Oreal’s prestige division from 1991 to 1993 with responsibility for the Paloma Picasso, Ralph Lauren and Lanvin brands.
Before L’Oreal, she held positions in Guy Laroche Parfums and Cosmair Inc.
