nMINNEAPOLIS — Target Corp. said Wednesday that it shifted its Mervyn’s president, Bart Butzer, to the Target division as executive vice president of stores. Diane Neal succeeds Butzer as president of Mervyn’s.
Butzer began his career at Target Corp. in 1983 and has been president of Mervyn’s since 1997. Before that, he was regional senior vice president of Target Stores, supervising a quarter of the fleet. The corporation runs 991 Target, 266 Mervyn’s, and 64 Marshall Field’s stores.
Neal, who began her career with Target Corp. in 1980, has held several positions in merchandising, merchandise planning and product sourcing across the organization.
