NEW YORK — Robert Marc Opticians is setting up shop in SoHo.
The eyewear designer and retailer, which currently operates six stores in New York, signed a 10-year lease for a 500-square-foot unit at 436 West Broadway.
This is the first store in SoHo for the company, which currently operates six other units in New York. The space was formerly occupied by Antique Addiction. The store is expected to open in August.
Yair Staav, senior managing director of The Lansco Corp., represented the landlord and Joel Isaacs of Isaacs & Co. represented the tenant in the negotiations.
“Our group has been active in changing the face of the block,” said Douglas Zinn, Lansco’s executive managing director. “Robert Marc is the last piece of the puzzle.”
Staav, who had sold the building to the landlord two years ago, brought in more fashion tenants, such as Perlier Kelemata and Swatch.
“It is really difficult to find a small storefront in SoHo, so naturally, the tenant was happy to be able to find space in this location,” Staav said.
Focusing on retail leasing, Lansco has represented landlords and tenants, with clients including Tommy Hilfiger, Niketown, J. Crew, Versace, H. Stern, Swatch and Cartier.
