NEW YORK — Designers celebrated fashion’s whimsical side this season with peasant patchworks and lots of old-time trimmings. The new folkloric fashion, both bold and naive, brings to mind Britain’s Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the last century and the Viennese women who inspired Gustav Klimt.
