PARIS — Ricardo Adamo has been named general manager of the house of Emanuel Ungaro, filling a post that has been vacant since Thierry Andretta, currently vice president of Gucci Group, departed two years ago.
Giancarlo Levanti, men’s and women’s ready-to-wear production manager for Salvatore Ferragamo, Ungaro’s parent, had served as interim general manager.
Adamo, who begins Nov. 5, was formerly general manager for Simint SpA, the jeanswear manufacturer that belongs to Giorgio Armani. He will be responsible for the development of the house, including the expansion of retail, commercial and distribution operations.
