THE FLOWER PATCH

PARIS — Flower power and Seventies looks have been turning up on runways for many a season now, but designers are still coming up with new ways of doing them. For spring, Junya Watanabe showed a terrific, highly inventive collection featuring mixes of tweeds and a Deauville theme with floral patterns and lots of American-style denim. Here, one of his appealing combinations: a distressed tweed jacket, Liberty print blouse and a long skirt in a chintz-like floral. For more spring blossoms, see pages 4 and 5.
