DELIA’S MARKETING EXPANSION
NEW YORK — In an effort to strengthen its direct and marketing strategies, Delia’s Corp. has named five new appointments.
Luz Carrillo has been named vice president of direct marketing and is responsible for direct marketing and circulation planning for the catalog and Web channels. Most recently, Carrillo worked for Williams-Sonoma as director of marketing.
Kate Mortell has been promoted to vice president of print production and marketing logistics and will manage printed and visual materials for the company’s Web site, catalog and retail locations. Mortell had been director of publishing.
As director of inventory planning for the direct channel of the business, Richard Trimble will oversee all aspects of inventory management, analysis and control buying. Most recently, Trimble worked as assistant vice president of inventory management at Dress Barn.
In the communications department, Julie Kurtzman was named vice president of public relations and strategic alliances. In this role, Kurtzman will lead celebrity and entertainment tie-ins, as well as event planning. Prior to joining Delia’s, she developed and oversaw the public relations and event group at Guess Inc.
Finally, in the role of vice president of marketing and strategic alliances, Hope Wolman will oversee various marketing initiatives, including the cultivation of partnerships with consumer-goods companies. Wolman has held various positions at WeddingChannel.com, The Limited Inc., the Home Shopping Network and Arista Records.
