NEW YORK — Donald Witkowski will join Nautica Enterprises, confirming an earlier report, and assume the title of president of Nautica International, effective Oct. 29.
Witkowski, who resigned as president of Donna Karan Menswear last week, as reported, will oversee Nautica’s men’s sportswear business and report to chief executive Harvey Sanders.
Witkowski takes a title previously held by David Chu, founder of the Nautica brand, who assumes the new post of vice chairman and chief creative officer of Nautica with worldwide responsibility for the brand. He remains a director of the firm and will seek to refine the women’s sportswear concept in the Rockefeller Center store to explore alternative areas for growth.
