PARIS — She’s had her Goth and New Wave moments, and Veronique Branquinho has moved on. She did something quite unexpected in the fall collection she showed on Tuesday: Chic classics, turning them out with enough skill and assurance to delight retailers — and ignite the season. There were turtlenecks in big houndstooths worn with A-line skirts, cowlneck sweaters with extra-long cuffs over skirts and pants, and stylishly tailored coats. Here, one of them in tweed.
