In a story on page 16, March 17, Trey Laird’s new responsibilities as executive vice president of corporate imaging and creative services at Donna Karan International were incorrectly described due to misinformation from the company. Laird’s position, which encompasses brand positioning, advertising, retail development and visual display, does not include marketing. The marketing function has been incorporated into a new public relations and marketing department, which reports to John Idol, chief executive officer of Karan. The company expects to name a new head for that department this week.
