PENTA LEAVES FUN COSMETICS
Byline: Laura Klepacki
NEW YORK — Kristin Penta, the founder of Fun Cosmetics, whose face and personality have been closely associated with the brand’s image and marketing, left the New Jersey-based company this week to pursue other opportunities.
Penta’s image has appeared on in-store displays and on Fun product packaging. She also led product development efforts for the teen cosmetics brand, which began as a pencil line and expanded into color items and cosmetics implements.
Penta, most recently senior vice president, said she left because of differences with management. “Their vision is not in keeping with my vision,” said Penta. “I put my heart and soul into the brand, but just felt that it was not going in the direction I had wanted it to grow in.”
The company did not return calls for comment.
