NEW YORK — Philip B. Miller, chairman of Saks Fifth Avenue, has joined the board of directors of Kenneth Cole Productions.
Miller has over 30 years of experience in the retail industry and was also chief executive of Saks Fifth Avenue until he was succeeded by Christina Johnson in February. At Saks, he oversees international and Off 5th divisions and also co-chairs the Saks Direct e-commerce initiatives and catalog businesses. He had been chairman and ceo of Saks since 1993. Before that, he was chairman and ceo of Marshall Fields, joining that company in 1983 from Neiman Marcus, where he was president since 1971.
Miller also serves as senior vice chairman of the board of The Lighthouse in New York and also serves on the boards of Saks Inc., the Metropolitan Opera Guild of New York and The New York Botanical Gardens.
Kenneth Cole Productions designs, sources and markets a broad range of premium-quality fashion footwear and handbags, and through license agreements, designs and markets apparel and accessories for men and women under its Kenneth Cole New York, Reaction Kenneth Cole and labels.
