ATLANTA’S DIVERSE STYLE

ATLANTA — From blue hair to debutante-perfect ‘dos, hairstyles in Atlanta run the gamut. Here, a rundown of what WWD found.

Toniett Gullego, 32: “I use MOP Shine Drop to keep my hair really smooth and shiny, and I use Fudge Blue Velvet for the blue streaks.”
Becky Kleinman, 30: She uses ARTec Kiwi shampoo and conditioner “because it smells really good.” To style her hair in the piecey, spiky style shown here, she uses TIGI’s Bed Head Manipulator.
Jessica Rosenbaum, 25: Rosenbaum uses Aveda products “because they are natural and smell so good. My hair is naturally curly, so I really only need to keep it healthy. The Brilliant Emollient keeps it from being frizzy.”
Tuesday Cosby, 28: Cosby uses a men’s hair care line called American Crew. “Their pomade is my favorite,” she said. “It keeps my hair smooth and straight.”
Tina Dean, 28: Dean is “addicted” to Aveda’s Brilliant Anti-Humectant. “It keeps my curls in control and makes them shiny. I put it in my hair when it is wet and keep my hair in a ponytail until it is dry so it doesn’t get too big!”
Sam Robertson, 23: Robertson uses a line called Taffy. “The pomade is my favorite — it gives my hair great texture and body to keep this flip shape that I like.”
Kelly McLaughlin, 33: McLaughlin uses Clairol Natural Instincts hair color in Rosewood. “I like this really deep, rich brown. The color seems to help my hair stay smoother.” Tracy Johnson, 31: Johnson likes Matrix Systeme Biolage products. “I use the shampoo and conditioner. They are really light, rinse out clean and don’t weigh my hair down.”
Suzanne Herring, 28: Herring calls herself “an Aveda girl.”
“I use the Elixir when it’s wet and I use the Anti-Humectant after it’s dry to smooth it out and make it shiny,” she said.
