JANE TURNER TAKES LAUREN MEDIA MARKETING ROLE
NEW YORK — Jane Turner, publisher of Men’s Health, will join Ralph Lauren Media as director of marketing.
She had been publisher of Men’s Health since December 1998. Prior to that, she spent seven years at the magazine’s parent, Rodale Inc., where she helped develop Men’s Health and worked on extending the brand to 13 international editions, as well as six Men’s Health Web sites.
In February, Polo Ralph Lauren formed a new joint-venture company, Ralph Lauren Media, with NBC and two of its affiliates. Polo.com is the core property. The Web site is slated to go live in the fourth quarter, selling women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and gifts.
Turner reports to David Lauren, chief creative and marketing officer. Jeffrey Morgan, president and chief executive officer of Ralph Lauren Media, had previously been worldwide publisher of Men’s Health.
