FEET OF PLAID: For those Burberry fans who just can’t get enough of the house’s famed check, footwear is now part of the mix. The tight debut collection for fall includes four styles: a mule, a pump, an ankle boot and a full-length boot.
Besides the recently launched variations in the classic tan, black and red check, color also plays a major part in the line now as well, and they are included in the shoes, with versions in green, brown and heather gray. All are made of wool or heavy, water repellent, cotton twill. Retail prices range from $225 to $395.
Besides Burberry’s own stores, of which there are 20 full-line units in the U.S, the footwear will be available for wholesale, according to Robert Vignola, executive vice president of Burberry. Vignola said the shoes will bow exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue in New York for fall and then will be rolled out to additional stores nationwide in seasons to come.

XOXO CINCHES BELTS: XOXO has added belts to its line-up. The junior sportswear firm has signed a licensing deal with Omega, a New York-based belt manufacturer, for a line of fashion-forward belts. XOXO’s other licensed product categories include swimwear, knit basics and jewelry.
The line, which will debut at stores this fall, will range in retail price from $18 to $30. The belts will be carried in XOXO’s four signature stores and at department stores.
