ONE GIRL: One Clothing will introduce a line for girls at the International Fashion Boutique Show in New York in June.
The line, called One Teenie, will include logo T-shirts, jeans, tops, bottoms, sweater sets and jackets. Fabrics include stretched twill and poplin, denim, and tropical, paisley and animal prints, and sizes are 7 to 14. The collection will retail for $6.99 to $24.99.
“The girls’ market is growing dramatically because girls are becoming increasingly more interested in fashion,” said Ace Ross, president of One Clothing. “Now, more than ever before, preteens are paying attention to style and label, and young girls want what the older girls are wearing.”
One Clothing makes a signature junior sportswear collection and produces a licensed junior line for Bugle Boy.
BLANC COLLECTION: Blanc Noir, the street-inspired junior sportswear and outerwear firm, based in Novato, Calif., has developed a new coated cotton collection that resembles leather.
The collection includes styles such as cargo and drawstring pants, boot-cut pants and hipster pants with lace-up legs and lace-up fly details, skirts and a western-style denim jacket and vest with fake-fur trim.
The washable line will debut at retail in August and carries wholesale prices ranging from $10 to $15.50, according to sales manager Laura Wilson.
