MILAN — Giorgio Armani will rocket into cyberspace next month with a global Web site dedicated to his aesthetic, lifestyle concept, viewpoints and history. Last week, the company posted a “coming soon” page, a teaser for the upcoming
The Web site will include seven mini-sites, each dedicated to Armani collections and issues. The sections include Giorgio Armani Borgonuovo 21, Armani Collezioni, Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange, Armani Jeans and Armani Parfums.
Initially, there will be no selling from the site. But A|X Armani Exchange already has a separate Web site through which it does e-commerce.
Viewers will also be able to click onto a mini-site that deals with the “evolution” of the company. That site will include images from fashion shows, advertising campaigns, fashion milestones, celebrity dressing, movie wardrobes, events and sponsorships.
New York design firm Razorfish designed the site together with an in-house team from Armani.
