NEW VISION: Vision Legwear, a Spruce Pine, N.C.-based manufacturer, has named Bill Ross as executive vice president of sales. He will oversee Thorobred Hosiery, a private-label sheer division of Jockey International, which was acquired last week by Vision Legwear.
Ross, who joins the company May 1, is currently in a similar post at Jockey.
The acquisition is designed to help Vision Legwear develop its account base with upscale retailers, according to Fritz Schulte, president.
In his new post, Ross will oversee sales of sheers, tights and trouser socks. He will be based in Spruce Pine and will report to Schulte.

TYING THE KNOT: Alexblake.com, a legwear e-tailer, has signed a marketing partnership with The Knot, an online wedding resource. As part of the deal, Alexblake.com will be the exclusive provider of hosiery on Theknot.com and on the Knot areas on AOL.
The legwear company will be featured as a boutique on The Knot Shop, where accessories, wedding favors and other wedding-related merchandise is sold. Donna Karan, Oroblu, Hanes Hosiery and Hippies are among the brands to be sold.
Aleblake.com’s products will also be available on the site’s accessories search, which lists thousands of bridal accessories.
“Hosiery is an essential wedding day accessory but brides often forget to put it on their to-do lists,” said Marcy Pettit, founder of Alexblake.com. “Becoming a part of The Knot will help brides keep hosiery top-of-mind for their wedding day.”
