NEW YORK — Liz Claiborne Inc. said Tuesday that it has promoted Michael Scarpa to vice president and chief financial officer.
Scarpa will be responsible for management and execution of the company’s accounting and control, taxation, internal audit, external audit, treasury, investor relations, profit improvement and facilities management activities, as well as financial planning and operations.
Scarpa, who had been vice president of financial planning and operations, will report to Richard Zannino, senior vice president of finance and administration, who previously held the title of cfo. Zannino will have executive oversight of the cfo function as well as mergers and acquisitions, business development, inventory planning and the retail and cosmetics business.
