VUITTON’S GROWTH LEADS TO SEVERAL PROMOTIONS

NEW YORK — Louis Vuitton NA announced a host of organizational changes on Friday related to the growth of its fashion business in the U.S. and to accelerate the coordination among its brands here.
Patrice Fontes, who was general manager for Loewe in Spain, France and Portugal, was promoted to president of LVMH Fashion Group Latin America. He reports to Fred Wilson, president and chief executive officer of the LVMH Fashion Group Americas Region.
John Slavinsky, who was senior vice president of stores for LVNA, was promoted to senior vice president of real estate and store planing for the LVMH Fashion Group, continuing to report to Wilson.
Philip Corne was named senior vice president and chief financial officer of LVMH Fashion Group, responsible for finance and administration and logistics. He had been transferred to LVNA in 1998 from Louis Vuitton Oceania, where he was finance director with responsibility for Australia and New Zealand.
Claus Lahrs, who was general manager for Louis Vuitton, Loewe and Celine in Germany, was promoted to president of the Louis Vuitton division for North America, reporting to Wilson.
In addition, Lynn Ambrose was promoted to vice president of human resources for the LVMH Fashion Group and Franklin Dickinson, who was project manager for the construction of the LVMH Tower, was promoted to vice president of store planning and development. Kim Harrington, Lisa Capozzi, Carlos Santana, Terry Boland and Laurie Fielding were each promoted to regional vice president of stores positions throughout North America, and Erin Donohue was named director of events for the company.
