NEW YORK — VF Corp. late Monday revealed a number of changes in its organizational structure and said that Dan McFarlan would be stepping down as vice president and chairman of its intimate apparel and playwear coalitions.
VF’s chairman and chief executive officer, Mackey McDonald, said in a statement that the moves were being made “to better align our organization with the dynamics of our market place and establish a growth model for our company’s future.”
Eric Wiseman was named vice president and chairman of global intimate apparel, handling much of McFarlan’s former duties.
John Schamberger, chairman of the company’s North and South American jeanswear coalition, will take on responsibilities for playwear.
The Greensboro, N.C.-based company’s knitwear and workwear businesses have been merged into a new coalition, VF imagewear, with $1.1 billion in revenue. George Derhofer will continue to serve as vice president over those operations.
In addition, the company’s JanSport, Eastpak and North Face operations will now report to chief financial officer Bob Shearer on an interim basis.
