PRINCESS ANNE TOURS BERGDORF GOODMAN
NEW YORK — Princess Anne made her first official visit to Bergdorf Goodman Tuesday in support of next fall’s UKinNY 2001 festival. In a periwinkle jacket, black pumps and a loosely pinned bun, Her Royal Highness and entourage toured the store’s British vendors inspecting goods by Anya Hindmarch, Manolo Blahnik and Hussein Chalayan.
The Princess talked at ease with employees and marvelled over the William Yeoward crystal and how selecting a pattern today “is about personal style.” She even removed a glove to blow her nose while inspecting the Jo Malone fragrance display.
As the Princess was leaving after breakfast in the cafe, she crossed paths with a member of rock royalty, Cher, who was on an unofficial shopping spree.
