A SCARY THOUGHT
NEW YORK — ‘Tis the season…well, not quite that season, but it is time to put together some spooky ensembles.
DKNY unveiled its second annual Halloween windows this week at its Madison Avenue flagship here. The theme is a biker-rocker-leather fantasy featuring Ducati Monster Dark motorcycles in neon orange cages.
The black-clad mannequins are dressed in fishnet tops, leather jackets, beaded dresses, black bustiers and leather skirts — all DKNY garb. Many carry bondage-inspired accessories, like whips, and wear studded masks and red and purple wigs.
Tying in with the windows will be an invitation-only Monster Bash costume party on Halloween, hosted by DKNY and Ducati, at the store, where go-go dancers will perform in the cages in the windows. An open casting for go-go dancers will take place this Monday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Ducati headquarters at 555 West 42nd Street.
