LOS ANGELES — Federated Department Stores’ Macy’s West division has appointed four fashion directors with responsibility for women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, juniors, and men’s and children’s wear.
The San Francisco-based department store group appointed Durand Guion fashion director of women’s rtw where he will guide fashion and trend forecasting for bridge, designer, and impulse merchandise. Guion has been with Macy’s since 1990 and was most recently fashion director of men’s, young men’s, and children’s. He was also a selling manager of accessories and assistant buyer for men’s small leather goods for the company.
Shawn Lambertsen was promoted to fashion director of juniors where she will be responsible for creating fashion images in the category. She has been a visual merchandise designer in the junior dress and intimate apparel categories, an executive assistant to the senior vice president of visual merchandising and an event coordinator for Macy’s West.
Tifani Wilt was named the fashion director of Macy’s West Center Core where she will oversee color and trend forecasting and merchandise development for shoes, handbags, accessories and lingerie. She was a buyer of updated collections, an associate buyer of petites and an assistant buyer for Macy’s Woman.
Randy Heil was named fashion director of men’s and children’s for the company. He was most recently a fashion director for men’s, children’s and home for Lord & Taylor. Previously, he was a buyer for better gifts and an associate buyer of boys’ wear at Lord & Taylor.
All four report to Bill Bigler, vice president and director of Macy’s fashion office.
The directors’ primary duties are to advise buyers on trend direction for the 99-store chain, according to a spokeswoman for the stores.
“This new fashion team is young and really interested in what they do and will give Macy’s a real edge in our fashion direction in the future,” said the spokeswoman.
