MIAMI — Jerome Falic, chief executive officer of discount perfumery chain Perfumania Marketing, will leave the company Jan. 31, the end of the chain’s fiscal year.
Falic, one of the co-founders of Perfumania Marketing, reportedly the nation’s largest perfumery chain with 267 units and annual sales of approximately $190 million, served as president of Perfumania Marketing’s wholesale division since 1994. He was named ceo earlier this year.
Ilia Lekach, ceo of E Com Ventures Inc., Perfumania Marketing’s parent, will absorb the duties and title of ceo.
Falic said in an interview that he will be “exploring other ventures,” adding that he feels like he is “leaving the top of the world,” but is interested in “pursuing other business opportunities.”
He noted Perfumania Marketing has posted 22 months of consecutive comparable-store sales increases, 17 of which were double-digit increases.
