SEPHORA STRENGTHENS RELATIONSHIPS WITH STILA AND CHANEL

NEW YORK — The number of brands at Sephora and Sephora.com continues to grow. Steve Bock, executive vice president of merchandising at Sephora, has announced that Stila will be added to Sephora.com and that Chanel cosmetics and treatment products are now carried at select Sephora locations.
The Stila addition is being promoted on Sephora.com with a page featuring Stila Sport products and a signature Stila illustration. Customers are given the option of registering their e-mail address so they can be informed of when the “Stila boutique” opens on the site. Bock said the brand should be available starting in late November or early December.
“Stila is the number one cosmetics business at Sephora, and we saw this as a great opportunity to increase our level of service to the customer,” said Claudia Poccia, vice president of sales and education for Stila.
As for Chanel, the rollout has already begun into five Sephora locations: SoHo and the World Trade Center in New York; Georgetown in Washington; South Beach in Miami, and the Venetian in Las Vegas. Sephora already carries Chanel fragrances.
“We’re very excited because Chanel is a well-recognized brand and a great business that rounds out our strong color assortment,” said Bock.
Jean Hoehn Zimmerman, Chanel’s executive vice president of marketing and sales for beaute and fragrances, believes the launch of color and treatment in Sephora will help the brand reach a younger audience.
“I’m a big proponent of Sephora,” she noted. “It matches our mission of strengthening our business among a younger consumer.”
