NEW YORK — Gap Inc. has named Jerome Jessup executive vice president of product design and development for Gap brand worldwide.
Jessup, the former head of these areas at Banana Republic, succeeds Lisa Schultz, who, according to the company, has decided to leave the San Francisco-based firm to pursue other opportunities.
Jessup reports to Millard Drexler, president and chief executive of the company.
He joined Gap in 1993 as Banana Republic’s vice president of product design and was promoted to senior vice president of product development four years later. He was appointed to his most recent post two years ago.
Gap said it is launching a search for Jessup’s successor at Banana Republic.
