Annelie Augustin and Odély Teboul, the German-French duo behind Augustin Teboul, took home the International Woolmark Prize for Europe in the women’s wear category on July 8, just days before their show in Berlin. After last season’s foray into lighter tones, the designers were back in black. Dark gleaming pewter was a new touch but otherwise the collection felt a bit like a “greatest hits” lineup. Round forms were repeated in pieced leather, beading and crochet, while other looks featured distressed tulle and jet beading. More wearable pieces in black silk included shorts, a gown and cropped trousers.
