NEW YORK — Bridget Ryan Berman has been named group president of Polo Ralph Lauren Retail, a new post.
Berman, who had been president and chief operating officer of Polo Retail Group since June 2001, will expand her responsibilities to include the oversight of the company’s international retail operations in addition to her current responsibilities for the domestic Polo Ralph Lauren stores and the outlet division.
She will continue to direct the daily operations of Polo Retail Group’s shared-services departments and report to Roger Farah, president and chief operating officer of Polo.
Berman joined Polo in 1992 as a divisional merchandise manager in Polo Retail Corp. and was promoted to vice president of merchandising in 1995. In 1998, she was named president of Polo Ralph Lauren’s Factory Store Concepts.
