Club Monaco began its fall collection, comprised of three groups delivered from July to September, with a little American retro sportif. Structured cotton shift dresses done in saturated batik prints and a cotton piqué moto jacket segued into sturdy and stylish outerwear. Rounding out the season was a finely tuned mix of basics — T-shirts and knits — and novelty, such as trenches and peacoats in pink and red, and a flared scuba dress. Also shown was Club Monaco Collection, an exclusive new lineup of elevated pieces that will retail at select stores in North America, Europe and Asia and retail from $198 for Italian cotton poplin shirts to $1,100 for a quilted black leather jacket.
For men, Club Monaco is a big believer in the suit, offering bonded cotton versions as well as classic haberdashery fabrics. Shirting and cashmere sweaters came in a great combo of saturated shades (from deep purple and pink to electric blue) and patterns like mini florals and polka dots. For every plucky color and print there was a fashionable classic — bomber jackets and linen knits — to ground the look.
