NEW YORK — Apparel giants Jones Apparel Group, Kellwood Co. and Liz Claiborne Inc. filled some key executive spots Wednesday.
At the Victoria & Co. fashion jewelry division of Jones, Jackie Corso was named chief executive officer. Corso takes over the position held by Patricia Stensrud, and she will report to Rhonda Brown, president and chief executive officer of footwear, accessories and retail for Jones.
Corso brings more than 25 years of experience in the fashion industry to her role, and was most recently executive vice president and general merchandise manager at the Lerner division of The Limited Inc. She will begin working at Victoria on a part-time position in early November, and will take over full-time on Nov. 25.
As ceo, Corso will oversee both Victoria and Judith Jack, the jewelry and accessories firm purchased by Jones last year, according to a company spokesman.
At Kellwood, former Rena Rowan president Jeff Levy has been hired as president of DLG, its new “moderate update” division. Levy, a 28-year industry veteran, was with Rena Rowan, a division of Jones, for 12 years. Based in New York, he reports to John Henderson, executive vice president of Sag Harbor.
Meanwhile, Liz Claiborne named Mark Walsh as president of its Specialty Stores division. Walsh joins Liz Claiborne from Microwarehouse, where he was executive vice president of marketing and e-commerce. Before that, he was executive vice president of e-commerce and business development for J. Crew.
Walsh reports to Bob Negron, group president of retail, cosmetics and licensing.
