PARIS — Celebrities expressed their grief and admiration on social media for David Bowie, who died Sunday at age 69.
“Talented. Unique. Genius. Game Changer. The Man who Fell to Earth. Your Spirit Lives on Forever!” Madonna tweeted. “I’m Devastated! This great Artist changed my life! First concert I ever saw in Detroit! R.I.P.”
The BT tower in London displayed the message “Rest in peace David Bowie.”

British astronaut Tim Peake paid tribute to late musician from International Space Station: “Saddened to hear David Bowie has lost his battle with cancer – his music was an inspiration to many,” he tweeted.
NASA wrote “’And the stars look very different today.’ RIP David Bowie.” sharing a video of Chris Hadfield playing ‘Space Oddity.’ Hadfield then added, “Ashes to ashes, dust to stardust. Your brilliance inspired us all. Goodbye Starman.”
