PARIS — After two seasons, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac will no longer be designing for Andre Courreges’s women’s ready-to-wear collection.

De Castelbajac designed the most recent spring-summer and fall-winter collections in collaboration with Courreges, a spokeswoman for the house said.

Courreges himself now will design the collection, the spokeswoman said. However, it was indicated that an announcement about a future collaborator might be made soon.

De Castelbajac said that the demands of running his own house and developing his secondary line, Ko & Co, did not leave him enough time to devote to Courreges.

The house of Courreges does not release consolidated sales figures, but the company said it earned more than $18.5 million (100 million francs) in 1993 from its 80 licenses, many of them in Japan.
